Terms of use
Last updated: May 27, 2026.
Welcome. By installing or using Bonvoyage, you agree to the terms below. They're as plain-English as we can make them.
The basics
- You can use Bonvoyage for free, for personal and small-group travel planning. No commercial resale.
- The app is provided "as is". We try hard to make it work reliably, but we can't promise zero bugs or zero downtime.
- You're responsible for the content you add to Bonvoyage — trip names, places, notes, expense descriptions, and anything you write into chat or activity descriptions.
Your data, your trips
- Trips you create or join belong to you and the members you've invited. We don't access trip contents except as needed to keep the service running.
- If you delete a trip, the parent document goes away immediately. Sub-collections (days, activities, expenses) are removed during periodic server-side cleanup.
- If you want a full account purge, email bonvoyage@epochtech.ai with your user id (Settings → Account).
Acceptable use
- Don't use Bonvoyage to share illegal content, harass other members of your trips, or violate any third party's rights.
- Don't try to reverse-engineer Bonvoyage's servers or circumvent the membership rules that protect other people's trips.
- If you abuse the service, we may suspend or delete the offending account. We'll try to email you first.
Tips and payments
- The tip jar in Settings is a voluntary gratuity. Tips do not unlock any features and are non-refundable except as required by law.
- All payments happen on Stripe's hosted payment pages in Safari. Stripe is the merchant of record; their terms apply to the transaction: stripe.com/legal.
Third-party services
Bonvoyage depends on a handful of third-party services to work. Your interactions with them are governed by their own terms:
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, Apple Maps, Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models), App Store distribution.
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, Firestore.
- Frankfurter — public FX rate API.
- Stripe — tip processing.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bonvoyage is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including but not limited to missed flights, lost reservations, or expense miscalculations. Always double-check important details against the original source (your booking confirmation, etc.).
Changes to these terms
We update the "Last updated" date when the terms change. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes.
